Greater Noida hostage drama turns violent

NEW DELHI: The hostage crisis in Greater Noida, where farmers have taken a bus with some passengers as hostage, turned violent on Saturday.

Police forces resorted to the use of lathicharge and tear gas shells on agitating farmers, who on Friday held three employees of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). The clashes between the farmers and security forces left several injured.
